Last night we made a trip to Odyssey, where Monaco's Club for Foreign Residents (CREM) celebrated its 8th anniversary. With Karl Lagerfeld's Greek-inspired panels as a backdrop, guests mingled by the pool, sipping Champagne and snacking on crab tartlets, salmon brochettes, and raspberry and vanilla macaroons. The Monaco synchronised swimming team entertained everyone with three shows worthy of Esther Williams. Guest of honour Prince Albert II stayed long enough to shake several hands and was thanked for his continuing support of the club by Louisette Levy-Soussan Azzoaglio, CREM's chairman.
Odyssey is the poolside restaurant at Monte Carlo's Metropole Hotel. From Tuesdays to Saturdays it's open to non-residents from 18:30 for aperitifs and dinner.
